In a devotional, God’s truths were deepened within me. A Quaker term “center down” a term for “entering deep stillness” to get into God’s presence, came to mind. We must “center down” and get into God’s presence.

There are times in our lives where God’s word pierces our heart. This is the very center of feeling. Sin blocks our feelings, but God’s word touches our very center of being with truth. If we don’t get hurt out of every deception the world has feed us, the word of God is not having its way with us. God’s word is not fulfilling His purpose in our lives.

The word of God hurts like no sin can. This is where we, the children of God, find the true meaning, the true revelation, in which God is revealing to us. A quote from Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, says “Unless we get hurt out of every deception about ourselves, the word of God is not having its way with us.” “The word of God pierces even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit.”

Only this kind of pain can bring us to the change we need and to follow Jesus. This also brings the healing of God’s truths into our lives, gives us peace and the ability to be and live a lifestyle which is tried and true, pure and holy a living sacrifice for Him.

Center down each and every day. Get into God’s presence and let the word of God cleanse you, heal you and set you free from the World’s deceptions.

God Bless you today and may He always be with you.

In Christ,

Greg
