Abraham believed GOD, Hebrews 11:6-9) The Bible also says “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. (Romans 4:3 KJV also see Hebrews chapter 11).” When we have faith in our God, we will go where He leads us. Sometimes He tells us Go to the land of Canaan or Orlando. Abraham believed GOD and went, not knowing where exactly or what would lay ahead. Sometimes faith in God, (an all knowing God) means not knowing where you will be lead; but it (faith), knows the One Who is leading, a loving Father Who cares for you more than any other. Faith becomes trusting in Him and knowing He always has the best interest for you. Faith is also beneficial to our character. Faith was counted unto Abraham for righteousness. Faith is therefore a character builder. It also leads us to trust. Can you think of any other character faith builds?
How do we get to this point in our faith? For some it is stepping out on faith that is on a scripture verse and then applying to the situation. After the results are tallied and we find God’s word to be true we begin to trust with blind faith. A soft answer turns away wrath. Have you ever tried that? I have and it worked. Spiritual truths applied in the content it was meant for, WORKS. That is because God’s word is true, (John 17:17). As we apply Our Heavenly Father’s word to our lives we begin to build character, godly character which is the final outcome of our faith.
