There is so much to Galatians 2:20:

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

I am crucified with Christ. I am dead with Christ yet not I. If we live with the idea of I die daily, we are mortifying the old nature by placing it on the cross daily. The “yet not I” comes in to remind us that the old nature should be crucified and Christ is now living in me. How does this appear to us in a daily walk with Christ?

It is progressive sanctification though the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When the old nature raises up again, (a thought, an action, or an old carnal memory) the Holy Spirit brings it into the Light so we can recognize it as our sin nature and can nail it to the cross. When we confess it we are nailing it to the cross. I am then practicing mortifying the old nature by crucifying it with Christ. This will allow us to live in the newness of life. Therefore the dark burden that would hinder us is now crucified and buried. Now the new man is resurrected with Christ to walk in the Light.

Let us walk as lights Ushering in God’s Shekinah glory remembering, the life which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved us enough to bare our burdens, to give Himself for us, so we can walk with Him daily in victory.

In His service,

Greg
