Walking in Love

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 KJV)

Have you been to the place in your life where everything is going well and you may have been doing so good that you even forgot to pray or even call on God? Then a crisis happens.

You may start out on your own trying to fix the problem and then when all else falls you cry out to God. We know He is faithful and reliable but when things are going good we tend to rely on ourselves first. This is how most people live today.

What about the unbeliever? Have you been one of those who seems to be forgotten by co-workers, old secular friends, or worldly people because of your belief in God? But then a crisis happens to one of them and those who seemed not to need or know you when they were with their peers suddenly turn to you. It is because there is something reliable in you. Your faith in God in a crisis must have appealed to them at some point in your life. Do not think your witness for God goes unnoticed or how you react in a crisis or even in the best of times. People are still looking for hope in all situations. Even the unbeliever when he runs out of options will turn to you for help instead of God because you are the one with the relationship, the faith, the walk, the talk and the hope they are looking for. Let us help them like God has helped us even after we have exhausted our own resources before turning to God in prayer.

Let us try and remember to put God first in all things, in any situation so we can receive the best results first.

In Christ,

Greg
