7 Pithy and Profound Pride is the root of all evil

Pride the root of all evil.

Pride stands at the door of your heart. You can feel pride raise up when you get defensive. It immediately closes the door to your heart and then nothing else matters; even if you know the other person is right; pride says. “Don’t listen”. You stand agitated and unsettled.

When God is knocking at your heart pride says, “Don’t listen” and the humble Spirit of God is shut out. You miss his blessing. Pride is the root of all evil. Eradicate it before you miss another blessing from our Lord and Saviour.

Lord make me a man/woman after Your own heart and give me your peace that I may rest in You, help me eradicate the root of pride which shuts the door on You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
