Celebrating Pastor Tom and Jean’s Decades of Ministry
It was a wonderful, emotional service today. As we celebrated decades of Pastor Tom and Jean’s ministry, it also brought us to his retirement as Senior Minister. Pastor Tom is, and will always be, the founding Pastor of New Song Community Church.
Jean has worn the hat of Children’s Ministry Leader, companion, friend, encourager, organizer and so many others! She has stood beside Pastor Tom through good times and bad.
Our Senior Pastor is now officially Pastor Derick Dimry. Pastor Derick has been Associate Pastor, Corporate Prayer Leader and leading and assisting in many other activities for several years at New Song.
Pastor Derick’s wife, Pamela, is also very active at New Song. Pamela heads up a Christian dance troupe known as Adoration in Motion. Pamela also leads an exercise group called Gracefully Fit and the Gracefully Fit Stretch class. We are blessed to have them.
We were privileged to have Dr, Barry Banfrey as our guest speaker and Trinity College President Mark O’Farrell.

National Day of Prayer
May 4, 2023
The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation”. The president is required by law to sign a proclamation each year, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.

Keith and Marie are part of our New Song family. Keith was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. During his last treatment session, Marie’s sister made this pillow for him with an image of our church on it!
Their faith is pure and strong and we are blessed to have them as part of the family of God and of New Song. All prayers are appreciated as their journey continues!
