Resignation!

Who would think of it! If someone resigns it is like saying “I quit!” But I have found a blissful joy in resigning to God’s will. God our loving Father only wants the best for us. For example if your earthly parent tells you not to play in the street, is it because he or she does not want you to have fun? No, it is because they do not want to see you get hurt in any way. So it is with our heavenly Father.

When we resign to God’s will we are yielding to His will for our lives. John 10:10 says;

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 KJV)

God wants us to live a more abundant life. The alternative is we yield to a thief. That thief is usually ourselves, when we refuse to resign our pride takes over and we miss out on God’s blessings. We usually end up hurting ourselves, it would be like playing in traffic on a major interstate.

What do you think? Play in traffic or resignation? Something to think about.

In Christ,
