Initiative
God does not give us overcoming life, He gives us life as we overcome
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:1-5 KJV).
Our experiences give us hope when we look to Jesus and get to the other side of our problems, trials or tribulations. Jesus told the man with the withered hand to stretch forth thine hand. The man, not Jesus, took the initiative to start moving his hand toward Jesus and his withered hand become whole when he stretched it forth. Spiritual initiative comes by faith. Faith as little as a mustard seed. What is Jesus asking you to do today? Take the spiritual initiative today, so He can give you life as you overcome your doubts and tribulations.
