Victory with God
“The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.” (Isaiah 60:19-22 KJV).
Walking in God’s glory and bringing God’s glory to others changes the atmosphere we can affect. God is our source of light and life, for without light, you cannot find your way, there is no life, no truth, and no hope. (John 14:6). With God and His glory, we have light. We shall all be righteous, (because we are walking with Him). We shall inherit the land, the branch of God’s planting (His provisions). The works of God’s hands we will inherit that we may glorify God. He will be El Shaddai, El Gabor, The Mighty God. God Almighty, Who can give us the power as a little one to become a thousand and a small one a strong nation. All in God’s providential timing. Hallelujah.
Can you see that when we walk with Jesus, as He is in the light, we are in the light being glory to God and others? This is fellowship not isolation. (I am going to read my Bible on my bed or in my chair, I am the church, Lies and a trick of the devil we must walk with God in fellowship with Him and His church). Yes, you can study the word by yourself but if you do only that and live like the world, you have left your light and God’s glory in the secret closet. You are leaving your candle under a basket. Jesus said in Matthew 5:13 – 16;
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16 KJV)
Fellowship is therefore a key for Holy living. I have a friend in Jesus, He walks with me and talks with me Along life’s narrow way.
I serve a risen Saviour, He’s in the world today
I know that He is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him He’s always near
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
In all the world around me I see His loving care
And though my heart grows weary I never will despair
I know that He is leading, through all the stormy blast
The day of His appearing will come at last
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way
In Christ,
Greg
