Call upon the LORD

Have you really thought about trust and care for a child or do you just act on it? There are many times and situations where you have picked up a child to help them get somewhere. Maybe it started just by holding their hand while they learned to walk. There was a bond forming there between you and your child. The child begins to feel secure when holding your hand all fear slips away and confidence builds into complete trust. You on the other hand build a protective bond to ensure no harm comes to your child. This bond becomes so natural that when you come to a street to cross, all you do is hold out your hand and your child will grab hold of your hand with complete trusting confidence knowing you will assure safe passage to the other side. You would never think about letting something happen to your child; if a car came screeching around the corner your first reaction would be to lift up the child and get them out of harm’s way.

Knowing this is true, don’t you think our loving Father has His hand out when we call upon Him? Daddy help me! God is able to bring us through any situation we come upon or we get ourselves into. Call upon the LORD. He is always there. “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV).

Ps 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Ps 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

Ps 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Ps 116:2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon [him] as long as I live. {as long…: Heb. in my days}

Ps 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Ps 145:18 The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Call upon the LORD is only a prayer away…

In Christ,
