Degree of Faith
The degree of faith can be applied in many ways. Andrew Murray said “Be assured that the divine working within you will be no more or less than the degree of your faith and hope and trust in God.” If we are totally surrendered to God we will believe, trust and hope that everything will work together for our good. When doubt creeps in it steals our joy, hope and belief and says it is not possible you will fail.
Healing is a good example. When Jesus healed someone He often said “by your faith” you are made whole. But in His home town, “they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:57-58 KJV)
The degree you yield yourself to God is the degree you will receive from God. Lord help my unbelief and increase my faith. Work in me so I will put You on the throne of my heart instead of self. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
