Happy Monday!

If you are in the hurricane watch area, know I am praying for you and I would appreciate your prayers also.

Once again, I had something planned to write about today but something happened to change it.

We went to the movies on Sunday afternoon and saw “Running the Bases.”  I am guessing you are thinking this is a movie about baseball.   Well, it is, sort of.  There are ball teams and coaches in the movie, but the movie is about something so much deeper, so much more vital than baseball.  This movie is about the message.  A message that really brings it back to the foundation of our beliefs as Christians.  If you possibly can, go see “Running the Bases.”  You won’t regret it.  (You might want to take some tissues.)

Almost daily, we hear of someone challenging our rights as Christians.  Not only in the outside world but in our businesses and even our churches.  I keep telling myself that they must really be afraid of us or they wouldn’t be fighting it so hard.  They should be afraid.  We know how the story ends and they won’t be on the winning team!

Meanwhile, we have to be prepared to stand up for what we believe in.  We will be persecuted and ridiculed.  The question is, are we strong enough to uphold our faith through it all.

2 Corinthians 4:9-11  NIV

persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.

 Pray Unceasingly!!
